Gwyl Afon Ogwen / River Ogwen Festival
Artists and Photographers:You are once again invited to participate in the Gwyl Afon Ogwen / River Festival Art Exhibition over the weekend of September 29, 30, October 1, 2017. There will be two opportunities: the usual exhibition, and a Saturday (30 Sept) all-day outdoor drawing / painting session.
Insurance: We have public liability insurance for all Festival events, but this will not cover theft or damage of work, so please be advised that works are exhibited at the artists’ own risk – or own insurance.
Submission of works: You may exhibit as many works as you wish (of any size) on the screens or on tables etc, provided there is sufficient space.
Framed works should be ready to hang with cord on back.
Unframed works should be mounted or presented in a way to prevent handling damage (ie. possibly protected in a clear plastic cover).
All works should be labelled (Welsh or English) with:
Artist’s Name - Title of Work - Medium - Price (if for sale) - Contact telephone number / email (for prospective purchasers – we are not allowed to sell on the premises).
This information should also be on a separate list submitted with the works, to help compile exhibition lists for the wall / desk.
Delivery of Works: to Jerusalem Chapel on Friday 29th September, 9am to 5pm (or on an earlier day by arrangement).
1. We shall need help putting the show together / taking it down (Friday 11am - 4pm and Monday morning) so please contact Jeremy if you are available.
2. If you are able to help / steward the show on Saturday / Sunday your participation would be welcome.
Outdoor Painting: Meet at Jerusalem Chapel 10am Saturday 30 Sept. Drawing and Painting all day at chosen sites in Bethesda. Size and medium to be the artist’s choice. Completed work to be brought to the Chapel Vestry at 4pm – to be displayed during Sunday.
