Data Protection Policy
Clwb Camera Dyffryn Ogwen (CCDO) collects contact information and images from members to assist in the general running of the club and in order to prepare entries for inter-club competitions. Information collected will include name, address, email address and telephone number. The data will be kept securely and can only be accessed by the following Committee Members: Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Website Host and Competition Secretary.
The data will only be used to contact you for and on behalf of CCDO. Club members will be asked annually to note their agreement to this policy when they pay their subscriptions. In particular, please note that CCDO does not sell, rent, or trade your contact details with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes or financial gain.
Data is collected when you become a member of the club, visit our website or send us an email. We will also collect your IP address when you visit our website.
Data will then be kept for 36 months following your last annual subscription unless you request us to keep it indefinitely, so you continue to hear about the club. This is to allow the club to promote its programme to former members for a reasonable timescale in order that they can have the option of re-joining.
Any person for whom we are holding data has the right to review the record and has the right to withhold permission for CCDO to retain the data. Please contact CCDO via our website should you wish to view this data.
When entering competitions, battles or exhibitions CCDO reserve the right to publish your name, telephone number, email address and the image title.
CCDO cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for data that is 'in transit' over the internet.
